"WIND BENEATH MY WINGS"     by P.H.Cook

Although I had heard this song many times, it took on a
new meaning for me when I heard it at a funeral. A
co-worker had recently become foster parent to her three
nieces. A couple of weeks before Christmas,on a Christmas
outing with their father and his new family, they were
killed in a traffic accident.
At the funeral the priest said a lot of people had asked
him WHY?
And his answer was that in Heaven God had a Christmas
Chorus, and that that year, he realized he needed more
voices, so he took the three girls. Not long after that
the Church choir sang "Wind Beneath My Wings".
For some reason that song became linked with those words
and now, every time I hear it, I think of the Christmas
Choir and God needing more voices. It's beautiful and
sad at the same time.
